WELCOME TO BOUNDBYWORDS
I am beyond ecstatic to continue my book-blogging journey with you all, but first, here's a little bit more about me and what you can expect to find on this blog:
ABOUT ME:
My name is Reeka, and I currently reside in Ontario, Canada.
I've been a fan of fiction since the days of The Babysitter's Club and Sweet Valley High. Growing up, local libraries were my haven and my favourite place to be, and although I don't have the time to spend hours there anymore, they still are and always will be. I am a former employee of Indigo Books (the largest book store chain in Canada), which only deepened my love for the written word, and made it that much easier to indulge in my passion. Working there allowed me to do what I can't always do with my family and friends: share my passion and excitement about books! It was deliriously amazing to meet people who share the same love for books as I do, and more importantly, the new readers I was able to help ignite that love for!
I use to read pretty much any and everything I can get my hands on, but nowadays, my tastes and preferences have been shaped and narrowed to include mostly Speculative Adult and YA Fiction. I hope to one day branch off into genres that mostly intimidate me, or don't strike me as entertaining at first glance. Some of the genres I hope to tackle soon are: Biography and History/Politics-I want to be well rounded in my book knowledge. I'm always, always open to suggestions or recommendations, so please don't hesitate to email, comment, or tweet at me!
ABOUT THIS BLOG:
Though I'm mostly reading adult fiction at the moment, this blog also consists of young adult and middle-grade fiction reviews. I also post monthly reading updates, and anything else book-related that I find interesting. I plan to be as dedicated and consistent as humanly possible, though as many bloggers will probably tell me, life tends to get in the way sometimes. I have been blogging on BoundbyWords for over 8 years now, and am so glad I made the decision to start this amazing adventure. I have been extremely blessed and humbled by everything that has come my way since I began, but I feel like I've only scratched the surface of what's to come. If you follow BoundbyWords, are thinking of following, or are even just stopping by, thank you, thank you, THANK you! I hope you enjoy what you find =).

Awesome blog! I just discovered your blog today and am going to follow! I have nominated your blog for the Beautiful Blogger Award! http://msnoseinabook.wordpress.com/2013/02/27/beautiful-blogger-award/
ReplyDeleteHi! Great blog. I have a recommendation for you: "Wild" by Cheryl Strayed. It is a memoir about a woman who is trying to deal with losing her mother to cancer. She decides to hike the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) on her own. On her journey she finds herself and learns to deal with her grief. She meets many wonderful people and overcomes terrific obstacles. I admire this woman for what she was able to do. I could NEVER spend 3 months in the wilderness...alone! I think that this is a great book to read if you want to tackle the biography/memoir gnre. PS - I used to work for Chapters in Montreal. I really enjoyed it too!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog! I'm a new (ish) book blogger, too!
